Q&A Blockbuster: SME Wellbeing Focus (“The Hub” Member Exclusive)
June 17 @ 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM AEST
If you’re a small business owner or support SMEs you don’t want to miss this Q&A blockbuster!
I often turn to my husband who is also a small business owner and ask ‘Is it all really worth it?’.
Long hours, an inability to ‘switch off’, cash flow pressures, staffing challenges, and a sense of feeling lonely or overwhelmed, are just some of the daily stressors facing small business owners (SBOs). Not to mention navigating a global pandemic on top!
As the saying goes, SBOs ultimately “need to put their oxygen mask on first”.
Plus, when it comes to supporting the wellbeing of their team, many already overstretched SBOs don’t know where to start.
Join us for our next The Hub member exclusive Q&A Blockbuster on Thursday 17th June 11am-12pm AEST.
With special guests Tim Hoopmann, Speaker, beyondblue and Faculty member Anna Chipperfield, Head of People and Culture, businessDEPOT, we’ll discuss what actions can be taken to support the wellbeing of SBOs and their teams.
If you’re a small business owner yourself, or support SMEs, you don’t want to miss this!
In the first 20 minutes of this interactive session, we’ll discuss some of the unique stresses SMEs are facing, how business owners can recognise their own red flags and where to go for further support including the beyondblue New Access program. We’ll also explore simple and cost-effective wellness strategies for SMEs.
We’ll then open it up to the floor for any general questions or challenges our members are facing regarding supporting wellbeing at work.
Introducing our guests:
Tim Hoopmann, Speaker, beyondblue
Tim is a speaker for beyondblue, a national organisation that works to raise awareness about anxiety and depression, reduce the associated stigma and encourage people to get help. He became a speaker because as a small business owner he struggled with his own mental health, and learnt ways to manage this, and wants to help others struggling in similar situations.
Anna Chipperfield, Head of People and Culture, businessDEPOT
After years of managing, developing and building teams in both corporate and SME businesses, Anna now focuses her time on helping SME’s do the same. Anna has a passion for creating and maintaining a working environment where people are engaged and they feel they are contributing to something bigger, while enjoying their work.
