Mental Health Inquiry Report (2020)

• The final report for the Productivity Commission's inquiry into mental health outlines key influences on people's mental health, including the strong two-way link between employment and mental health. Namely, being employed can improve mental health and mentally healthy workplaces are important to maintain the mental health of workers. Recommendation seven of the report to 'Equip workers to be mentally healthy' outlines a series of actions including how to elevate psychological safety, create minimum standards for EAP providers and improve monitoring and collection of evidence of effective employer-initiated interventions.
